At InTheAirCandles, our story is simple: it’s about love, health, and the little moments that make a house feel like home.

For years, I was a candle lover without realizing what was hidden in most of the candles I burned. Like many, I filled my home with paraffin candles—not knowing they’re made from petroleum byproducts and can release harmful chemicals like benzene and toluene into the air we breathe.

That changed in December 2023.

One quiet day, I walked into my daughter’s room and was welcomed by the most beautiful scent. She told me it was a handmade soy candle—a gift from a friend. That moment sparked something in me. I began researching, learning, and understanding the beauty of soy candles:

• made from natural, renewable soybeans
• burn cleaner, producing little to no soot
• non-toxic and safe to breathe
• eco-friendly and biodegradable
• long-lasting, thanks to cooler burning temperature
  

I was inspired to create. Soon I was experimenting with scents, pouring wax, and sharing my creations with friends and family. And I realized—I loved it. Every step, from scent selection to hand-pouring, felt meaningful.

InTheAirCandles was born from that passion.

But why the name? It’s personal.

For me and my husband, the song “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins holds deep meaning—it’s been with us through important moments, including our wedding day. Music fills the air with feeling, just as candles fill the air with warmth, comfort, and memory.

That connection inspired the name InTheAirCandles—a blend of music, memory, and the belief that scent, like sound, can transform a space and touch the heart.
